These viruses are startin to bug!!! WTF should I do?

We all know about the recent spread of computer viruses. rss helped me with a download a few weeks ago when I was infected and I thought it was all good ... But for the past week everytime I open my yahoo e mail I have a bunch of shit in my Bulk folder from unfamiliar addresses and the few times I scanned them they were indeed viruses... as of today I checked the Bulk and had e-mails from npgmc, a few familiar addys, and even one tha said NuPowerSoul@ censored .com ... Now I've always been cool with NPS but I don't have his addy in my e-mail and I doubt he has mine so WTF is goin on here... how long do I have to waste my time with these computer land mines?
Anybody else dealin with this shit? If anyone knows how to solve this problem let me know. If this thread is similar to another one don't trip!!! I want answers instead of being told this is a repeat thread...so save it for the P forum.

yeah I get dozens of virii mailed me to each day. all you can do is keep your PC well-patched with all the Windows updates, make sure you run some kind of firewall, and get a decent virus checker. And don't open any executables that are emailed to you biggrin

I feel ya, Pej, cause my browser has been hijacked by something called "surferbar.com". I go in and change it back, and each time it switches back. I ran McAfee, no viruses...

sigh

Funny you should bring this up cause I just logged into my yahoo email account before I read this thread and had a bunch of emails stating an email I sent was undeliverable when I havent even sent any emails. I emailed Yahoo to ask them what was going on. Hope I get a response soon cause this definitely bugs!

go into "add/remove programs" in your control panel and look for anything suspicious.

and after you remove it, go delete the folder in the Program Files directory.

Yo kid it wasn't me shake I'm virus free! nod

My understanding is that the viruses fake the "From" address by getting off of the computer from which it is being sent... and the more recent ones, don't just stop at email address books, but look at everything on the infected computer.
