IceNine said: He very well might have... unfortunately for him, abortion is legal, whereas murdering a doctor is not.
This is the entire point (well said) but why does this murderer get so much national media attention when so many murderers don't get any?

This is the entire point (well said) but why does this murderer get so much national media attention when so many murderers don't get any? because the guy called a press conference the day before his execution. had he not, he'd have been executed, and we'd have only heard about it in passing. btw, why/how exactly was he allowed to call a press conference? seems like a departure for the norm when it comes to the soon-to-be-executed.

This is the stuff that makes being a Christian hard at times. There are many Christians who get their views warped in attempts to do what they beleive is "right." How is bombing abortion clinics any different than what the KKK does? Both are justifying crimes through Biblical beliefs. These Christians miss the big picture. Bombing an abortion clinic or killing a doctor to preserve what is "right" comes from the same mindset employed by terrorist groups.

people were all over the 9-11 hijackers for believing the same thing, but a jesus-freak on the same bent doesn't get any commentary on the same subject. Just read this. I agree 100%.

Why? I am 100% against capital punishment, but I do believe the priest should have been punished for murdering a doctor.

There's actually been little or no talk of abortions on this thread, Paisley. The real topic has been the death penalty for criminals and the hypocrisy of Christians who kill in the name of God. This thread is not about abortion, but if it would help, go ahead and start a thread about it in the politics and religion forum.....
