Astrology is a lot more complicated than just What's Your Sign. Your "Sign" is just where the sun was when you are born. All the other planets were in signs as well. So a person can be a Libra but have many planets in Scorpio. That's why newspaper and magazine astrology doesn't work so well. It only focuses on sun sign. There is sooo much more.

I've studied astrology since 86. I used to teach beginner classes. It's more like symbolism and psychology. Nothing is set in stone. Nothing is predetermined. Environment has a lot to do with how things work out. Personality traits are usually right on.

The problem is that there are sooo many variables. Even the sun sign is simplified. You have to read about what it means to have the Sun in a certain house in your chart, plus what aspects it makes with other planets. The kind of aspect is an angle, so if two planets are 90 degrees away from each other, it means something different than if they are 30, 120, or 180 degrees apart. Not to mention which planets they are and if other planets are connected to them.

I have learned so much about myself by reading and analyzing my chart. It's amazing.
