my mom forgot my birthday one year...i was an adult but I was surprised how hurt my feelings were. I even talked to her that day and she totally spaced it. My husband, after 7 years, still cannot tell you what day my birthday is. I 'pop quiz' him periodically, and he's never gotten it right.
Luckily, I'm not one to take such things seriously. If I want him to recognize a special day of any sort, I notify him a week in advance and he'll happily go along with it. Works well for us. | |
