I just saw a disgusting video on How KFC kills there chickens and it's Cruel. Chickens with their Beaks cut off and just Flung up against a Wall and Killed. Russell Simmons is speaking out against them and Peta is asking KFC to use less violent was of killing the birds. It's Your Choice if you want to Continue eating there. I Won't!

Really? I gave up Veal years ago because of how they keep them Anemic and in overcrowded environments. Sad how we treat animals . But look how we treat People so I'm Not surprised.

Def Jam Founder Russell Simmons Tells KFC to “Listen Up!”

If birds of a feather flock together, it makes perfect sense that media mogul and mega-friend to animals Russell Simmons would do as Sir Paul McCartney recently did and pen a letter in defense of chickens. Mr. Simmons, a vegan, wrote to David Novak, CEO of Yum! Brands, the parent company to KFC, urging the corporation to eliminate the worst abuses suffered by the hundreds of millions of chickens it raises and kills every year.

In his letter, which ran as a full-page ad in the Louisville Courier-Journal, Mr. Novak’s daily newspaper, Mr. Simmons points out, “Cruelty is cruelty, whether it’s cruelty to children, to the elderly, to dogs and cats, or to chickens, animals who are at least as intelligent as dogs or cats and are interesting individuals in their own right.”

His letter to KFC is the latest of many actions that Russell Simmons has taken in behalf of animals. Others include signing onto PETA’s anti-fur ad in Women’s Wear Daily, recording a radio public service announcement promoting vegetarianism, and participating in The PETA Celebrity Cookbook. He joins other celebrities who have spoken out for KFC’s chickens, including rock legends Sir Paul McCartney and Chrissie Hynde, Canadian actor Ryan Gosling, and former KFC spokesperson Jason Alexander.

Somehow the atrocities committed by McD corporation far exceeded that of KFC. A bit hypocritical I know but I am officially addicted to KFC I don't know if I could get through a month without some finger-lickin-chicken!
