WHO are you listening to?

Is there someone you listen to more easily or fervently? Where do you take your advice?

Honestly honestly honestly, Christopher hears more of my problems and issues than anyone else. I go to him first. And that's a fact.

You can't advise yourself. That's an oxymoron.

So we have to put down "boyfriend"

incorrect. when it comes down to it, does anyone know what's better for you than yourself? you can weigh people's opinions on what you should do, but you don't actually listen to anyone but yourself, because you know what you want, what you need, and what you can do.

i ask my family and friends about stuff but i trust my inner instincts too.

when that fails, i appeal to horace, the bobble-head oracle to whom i offer small, ritual sacrifices of incense on thursdays and saturdays. he will guide me.

I know what you're saying, but it's not "advice" if it comes from yourself. We may know ourselves best, but getting advice is getting someone's else opinion. I'm sure even the Pope seeks advice now and then.

No man is so foolish but he may sometimes give another good counsel, and no man so wise that he may not easily err if he takes no other counsel than his own. He that is taught only by himself has a fool for a master.

...listenin to just yourself ain't gonna lead you nowhere, except havin to ask somebody else about whatever you conjure up for yourself in the first place.

i have a great network of family and friends that are incredibly supportive, non judgemental and willing to listen and give advice if needed but that never cross the line of getting up in my business.

i actually believe we hold all the answers within ourselves, but sometimes we do the complete opposite and it never hurts to double check the big events with wise, evolved and understanding individuals.

I agree. I think we all know the answers, but it's always good to have someone as a soundboard to bounce off any problems we have. big grin
