No you don't. I went into this movie with an openmind (as I am against handguns also) and thought this was the most unfair, biased movie, I had ever seen.

The "trick" that Michael played on Charlton Heston just shows what an asshole he truly is (For the record I also don't care at all for Charlton Heston).


The movie is brutal and shouldn't have even qualified as a documentary as basically it's a fancy one-sided op-ed piece.

Jesus, what documentary isn't somewhat biased? It's made by a man...it would be impossible to be completely fair and balanced (is Fox News gonna come after me?). You guys act like Moore's the only director who has infused his personal views into his documentaries. The essence of what he's trying to say is there, intact. We are a violent society. There are reasons. he pointed out a few he thought were important. I mean, if all you got out of this movie is that he was "biased" and that he "tricked Charleton Heston" (and Heston said what he said about mixed ethnicity), then you're biased. Like someone said, I disagree with damn near everything Rush and Anne Coulter say, but I listen. There may be that one time where they say something insightful or meaningful that will have an impact on me. Well, maybe not Anne. But Rush, yes.
Moore also speaks to the culture of fear in America that is pushed daily. Mostly by Fox News. I didn't need a movie to know these things, but it was nice to see it anyway.

one of my favorites was he did a great thing about the horrible way black people in NYC get passed over by cab drivers. he rented a cab and drove around, and refused to pick up white passengers. it was sooo funny. or they would tell him which rich neighborhood they wanted to go to, and he would tell them "no, that's a dangerous neighborhood! i don't go there" and drive off.

I wish that Michael Moore would go bowling in a field of land mines... and that he would strike out.
