My Grandfather who is suffering from Alzheimer's is passing away, his nurses called us, and they dont expect him to make it through the day im very very saddened this was a man who came from Puerto Rico as a very young man,and lived a full life, and who could build a friggin house without blue prints. he taught me everything i know about electronics, taught me how to drive,and now hes in a catatonic state waiting for the light. forgive me for going on like this, but i loved my grandfather very very much.

ohhh steve. im sorry..i know this is how i will feel when its my grandmothers time...it has to be difficult to lose the person who taught you everything you know. i feel the same about my grandmother

First up Steve, i AM NOT SORRY to hear that...because, death is a part of life and not the other way around. Your Grandfather has lived a life, and from the sounds of it, with more integrity and efficiency than most, and what did he do with it? He passed his knowledge and love to you-IN THERE HE DID WHAT THE ONE WISHES OF US-to share our lives and educate one another with something more important than books, our lives!!! ino the pain of someone moving out of this physical expression, because that's one less place in this world that we have to go, yet the truth is that this mortal coil has a time, and it's a time that the one lets happen, because no life comes or goes without the ONE's say so. Don't take this from the ONE, don't presume that you would if you could, because that business is between your grand (Bless him) dad and the ONE. U now, as you always have, must carry the batone and his teachings. Feel sadness and even fear, but please give thanks for what you "had" and what you "have". U've been trusted with this mans effort, don't let a natural thing confuse you and let you put his light under your bed, because then you'd be wasting his light. I love your caring and sillyness Steve. I love the fact that you chose to live instead of die. STand tall and know that your shoes are stronger for the life your grandfather chose to live in loving you. And guess what...LOve don't die. We are souls, don't forget that, this flesh is the vehicle, not the conciousness.

I'm so sorry to hear that sweetie, I know the pain your going through, my grandmother also had alzheimers and she lived with my family til the day she died "at our home". My prayers are with you.
