Do you really think Lewis is one of the greatest?

nod
I think so!!! he beat holyfield and tyson

But look at the stage of their careers when they fought. He couldn't have fucked with Tyson when he was in his early 20's. As for the Holyfield fight the first one he won but the second he lost! They just gave it to him because he was robbed the first time around.

when this brotha focuses right no one out there can touch him

his jab has finished a few good boxers careers

plus he has taken on the best and took em all out

holyfield, tyson, mercer, tucker, razor ruddock, golota

sure he has lost a couple of fights from sucker punches, but that is the nature
of the heavyweight fight game. that is why it is so exciting
cos one punch can make a difference

i believe lennox has the speed, strength and stamina to take out most
heavyweights from history, barring muhammad ali.

i agree, the second lewis v holyfield fight was mos def a draw.
lewis was robbed the first time round, and had won that fight clearly.
so i can believe they put a little fix on.

as for lewis v tyson, tyson is still the most dangerous heavyweight of all time
i have seen him up close, and he still got his speed and can still bang
tyson style is suited to fighting big men like lewis
where he comes from underneath and takes you out up close.
so i dont really hang weight to that arguement if they met up when they were younger
tyson is a bad mf, its just that on the night, lewis was badder

The best boxers of all time? hmmm That's hard to say. There are so many great boxers, I'm bound to leave someone off. But here's my list (not in any order):

1. Muhammad Ali
2. Willie Pep
3. Sugar Ray Leonard
4. Sugar Ray Robinson
5. Joe Louis
6. Julio Cesar Chavez
7. Marvin Hagler
8. Roberto Duran
9. Jersey Joe Walcott
10. Thomas "Hitman" Hearns

As I said, there're way too many good boxers out there. Other boxers I would've included are:

Pernell Whitaker
Archie Moore
Joe Frazier
Rocky Marciano

Jersey Joe was the man! nod He had a very unique style. Really slick. If you can catch it, Sugar Ray Leonard did a little Jersey Joe imitation in the 11th round during his fight with Hagler back in '87.

Could you fill me in on Harry Greb? I don't know about his fight career.

Harry Greb - The Human Windmill
Record: 104-9-3

He threw TONS of punches from all angles... a few dozen elbows were also thrown into the mix... he was fast and had tremendous stamina. He is the only fighter who ever beat Gene Tunney.

He was a bad man... dirty fighter, but a bad motherfucker!

Marciano also holds the distinction of being the only heavyweight champion to ever retire undefeated... that is pretty cool.

George Foreman still has the highest knockout ratio of any heavyweight champion... if I recall correctly. Think of what he could have done if he hadn't retired at the peak of his career!
