RAP AND THE REAL STREETS It has come to the attention of my colleagues and i that
there is some confusion about how i say whut i say when i say whut say, and it's hard to understand whut i say because whut i say is being compared to whut is heard in a rap song WHEN EVRYBODY KNOW that RAPPERS gotta go to school to learn how to talk and think like me. I AM King BAD a.k.a. BAD,
YOU EITHER WANNA BE ME, OR BE JUST LIKE ME ™

It's only in the last few years that being eloquent and having verbal dexterity is no longer required for the job it seems, with dumbasses like Jah Rule in the charts etc. Call me old fashioned... but being a professional rapper should require learning your trade, like any other job. Half these young cats in the charts nowadays can barely speak English at all.

[This message was edited Mon Mar 17 18:22:03 PST 2003 by DigitalLisa] Haha everyone does that, not just black people. When I was a kid, I had such a strong, rough Dublin accent that I was unintelligible really. Of course going to college, working abroad, travelling the world etc has diluted my accent somewhat - it had to change, or I just couldn't have worked anywhere So I have a "generic" accent that is not too strong (i.e. so foreigners can understand me... it's my "professional" voice) and when I meet old friends I find myself slipping back into slang and colloquialisms... It's not faking, it's just being professional and making yourself clearly understood No shame in speaking clearly
