hey all...just want a bit of help.
i want a message board or guest book on my site. its a flash site so needs to be compatable.
is there any way i can host my website with one company and maybe the message board with another host. (if database facility is needed)

damn i'm crap at this so please...idiots guide needed!

The best thing to do is to talk to the hosting company that manages and hosts your domain and website. It's quite likely they provide a service like that already (for you to set up your own little bulletin board)

Your hosting company probably has (almost) fully configured scripts available for use
by their clients. Either that, or get a free, remotely hosted messageboard (like
Quicktopic - haven't tried it though). The latter normally comes with advertising.


Bear in mind that investing some time in installing a script will pay off in better looks and features.

Don't listen to any advice from me, I really haven't got the first idea where you should begin. Probably better if you follow the advice of more knowledgeable orgers rather than me. But thanks for asking!

If you want an el-cheapo message board hosted on a separate server that you link to, try bravenet.com. They have lots of little tools for lots of needs like that.

thanks guys.,...my host lot are sorting out the facility...i'm just impatient.
me and katt have just been sorting out bravenet for now...just got a few upload isues...but it'll happen soon.
