I've also read an article in Newsweek stating that the Chinese are having problems as well and while other countries have to deal with this problem, America unfortunately still leads the rest with a higher percentage of obesity among it's population. I had no idea it was this much of a problem in other countries.

and drink water! or at least diet soda. you know how many calories are in those super sized regular sodas? it's empty calories... just have a diet soda even if you got 3 big macs and 3 large fries. every little bit helps in the long run.

Moderation is key, it doesn't matter the content.

~There are medical alerts to contribute as well, it's not entirely due to over consumption/poor dietary selections... but the percentage is high.

Perhaps sitting at the for hours a day and watching too much T.V, is a contributor as well.

Listen, losing weight is VERY VERY hard while unfortunately gaining it is VERY VERY easy. We live in a world of fast food, 7-11s and where Food Additives are almost a food group unto themselves.

I'm skinny as hell but I know so many wonderful people who are overweight who are constantly frowned upon. Do you think anyone who's overweight WANTED to get that way???!?!? Don't you think that they've tried exercising, crash diets and even starvation. Fuck, I've dated two women who had eating disorders because of our society's OBSESSION with skinny women.

We are busier now than any time in history and due to this social change, fast food restaurants are among the most successful businesses out there. Who the fuck has time to cook?!! Who the fuck has time--or money--to join a fucking Gold's Gym while taking care of the kids AND trying to make ends meet?

Wanna know where the obesity epidemic came from? Capitalism.
Read the book "Fast Food Nation" if you don't believe me. You really are what you eat, people. Obese people are PEOPLE. NONE of them MEANT to get that way. Do you know what it's like to have to deal with the jeers, the embarrassing trips to the plus size stores and the feeling that everyone is staring at you?
