Skiing anyone?

The weather this summer has been so shitty on the east coast of the US that I've already been thinking of ski season. (I've even started to get into shape earlier than usual, working those thigh muscles and abdominals, so the bumps and crud won't throw me like last year when I slacked on my workouts.) Anyone else here crazy about skiing or snowboarding?

Why not? Colorado is heaven on earth for me because of the mountains.

Sounds perfect. I'm so jealous - I wanted to take my family to ski the Alps last winter for my 50th birthday, but the non-skiers in my family said I was being selfish. What assholes, like I'm going be in good shape the next time I have a milestone birthday.

I love skiing. The rush I get is the closest thing to sexual exhilaration I can think of.

Its a bit different in Europe, I like Us skeeing cus it's so open, but it doesn't have the apres atmosphere of europe. Then in Europe you can ski up to a bar sip a gluwein ski off again , but the lines for the lifts can be horrendous. Skiing is sex on snow, you are right, mind you sex on snow is pretty good too!!

Phil

skiing in europe a bit different?

damn right it is..eugh, we used to ski extensively in europe, and then one year treated ourselves and went to lake louise in Canada.

I LOVE LAKE LOUISE!!! we've been going there ever since.

the best place to ski by far for scenry, a quiet unpretencious atmosphere, and great accomadation

YAY!!!

going this new year and cannot wait!!!

this isnt really a dig at europe, more a YAY for L L and that i wont go back unless i really cant afford it!

A few years ago, I took my son (then 12 years old) with me to a one week scientific convention at Tahoe. He was an indifferent skiier, until we went to get some lunch at the restaurant on the summit. When he saw the babes in bikini tops and ski pants, drinking beer and sunning themselves, he knew he had to master this sport.

What is your wait, you still remain 50 for the rest of the year... Celebrate now.

The equipment is so good these days that no one breaks their leg anymore. The reality is that a few beginners sprain/break their thumbs when they fall forward and the most common injuries occur when strong skiiers (or wannabees) set their bindings not to release so they can ski aggressively.

Seriously: skiing=sexual rush

You really should try it.

I've been skiing since I was 2 and snowboarding for about 5 years. I just don't get out there as often as I'd like. The conditions in Vermont were great this past winter. Hopefully it'll be good this coming season.
