tackam, i assume you are a female by your response, and i respectfully encourage you to try my "test" on your "very good" STRAIGHT male friends. i would love to be proven wrong on this.

Of course it is possible! We (women) are not sexually attracted to every male we encounter, just as men are not attracted to every female and to assume that this is the case is wrong.

Yes, but there are a lot of hypocrites out there. Ironically, it´s usually the ones that are most eager to say they are "juuust friiieeendddss" that actually wouldn´t mind at all getting it on with those same "friends". At least according to my experience.

That's pretty cynical. we have all been in a situation whereby someone we only thought of as a platonic friend actually wanted more. ( I rememebr a guy at uni, who I was shocked to find out wanted more. Lets just say he was most definitely not my type. Yes I let him down gently, I would never be insensitive about something like this.) I still think that is is possible to not harbour any sexual feelings towards a member of the opposite sex, and value and want JUST a friendship.

Sure, I don´t disagree with you. It just makes me sick when some people pretend that they´re "just friends" when they´re not. They can have sex all they want, I don´t care, but why be a hypocrite about it?

I do think that in most cases (not all) there is some little spark of attraction between two friends who are sexually inclined towards each other´s gender. That´s just natural. But usually it´s not a problem since the attraction is so weak (though sometimes it is stronger...)

Also, friendship can sometimes unintentionally be confused with love or sexual attraction. It´s simply the nature of positive feelings that they sometimes tend to blend together, depending on mood or circumstances. Nothing wrong with that. As always it´s the way we act on our feelings that counts. Nobody should judge us for just having certain natural instincts. They are not our fault.

to all the females on the org who know i am just f'ing crazy-give that test to all those great guy friends you have. you have nothing to fear, because you know he wants nothing more than your friendship and he will stop you immediately and not let you ruin your valuable friendship. then, after he stops you from giving him head, you can explain that you were just giving him a test to prove that he wasn't hanging around with you to wait for your moment of weakness so that he could bang you.remember ladies, i'm wrong on this and you are right.

I've done it/tried trying it. Didn't work, regardless of which side I was on. It's rare that both people are in exactly the same frame of mind/heart, as far as not feeling or wanting more.

Very bad idea because if you are not Compatiable and all it's like a Big Mistake. Sometimes the friendship is Ruined.

That would be rude and completely insensitive if it weren't meant out of true attraction. "Testing" someone in that manner is vile. I would argue that in my experience, most people are genuine and mature enough to be able to distinguish between friendship and a sexual relationship, and not disregard their true feelings by pretending to want something else.

Right. I mean, I think my friends would be really pissed off, after the initial shock wore off. Very pissed, and very freaked out. It would harm the friendships. And since I CARE about those relationships, I wouldn't do that! omg

No kidding! Besides, the whole "I was just testing you" line would probably seem like an excuse and a way to save face from the embarrassment.

ok ladies, i have tried to give you a method to prove that i am right about this. it's obviously up to you whether or not to try this, but i think if you level with yourselves, you know that in 999,999 out of 1,000,000 cases, that male friend of yours is just hoping to stick it in you as soon as he can.(once again, to be clear, he spends time with you when he doesn't have to- a mere male acquaintence may very well NOT be sexually interested in you) we can respectfully disagree on this but i am a hetero male, and know how guys are. our buddies are all male. we have the female friends as a potential lay.oh, buy the way, when you ask your male friends about this they will deny it and say that you are just a friend. you have to get sexually agressive with them to find out the real deal.peace, and good night.

Way off base again. I say this as a straight male who has denied advances of female friends.

We do not see eachother anymore.

Exactly! and imagine if the shoe were on the other foot and a male friend lunged at you and then had the audacity to explain that he was "testing" your relationship to see if you were interested in him sexually or just as a friend. It's crude to say the least, and would cause damage to friendships that take time to build up.
