Man, I'm Totally Screwed!!!!

I got a call yesterday from a job agency who had sent my resume over to a company that was looking for an Administrative Assistant. The job agency told me that the company that is hiring was inviting me in to take a math test that had 20 questions on it and that had to be completed in only 5 minutes! omg sad boxed

Let me make it clear that I totally suck at math, it has never been my strongest subject. When I had to take a math test when I signed up at another job agency, some of the questions on the test involved fractions. I have not done fractions since I was in high school many moons ago, so I did not have a clue as to how to solve them.

I wound up leaving the fraction questions blank on the test, then felt stupid when the person who was grading the test explained to me how the questions were to be solved and gave me the answers to them. err err err

I'm totally nervous about the math test that I have to take for this job, because I know very well that it is going to have fractions on it. I also know that if I don't get a decent score on this test, that I will be screwed as far as getting this job is concerned (and I desperately need a job right now, since working temps is not going to cut it for me). Too bad I couldn't cheat and sneak a calculator in with me - lol!

I honestly don't know why companies and job agencies test you on fractions. I can understand them testing you on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and such, but fractions? I mean, how often am I really going to use them on the job anyway (if at all)?

So right now I am going online and trying to do a crash course about how to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions, but it just does not seem to be sticking in my head. err err I know that if I fail this test, I am going to be totally pissed at myself. I guess I will just have to do my best, and if I can't get the answer to a question just skip over it and go to the next one. Hopefully I won't have to skip too many of them, since I would like to get this job. It would pay well and it would be close to home. pray Just needed to vent, since I'm in a bit of a tizzy right now.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections... unknown
