so wait a minute...somebody rated this thread and nobody has posted anything? i don't know if i should be offended or pleased.

I read the first 100 issues of Superman vol.2 (incl. annuals) plus Action Comics and Adventures of Superman during the same period. But then the series started to bore me. I've picked up the occassional issue since then to see if things had improved, but now I don't even do that anymore.

As for Batman, I never really cared much about the character. Sure, I read Miller & Mazzuchhelli's Year One, Legends of The Dark Knight, Grant Morrison's story in Legend of the Dark Knight and Gulacy's in the same title, but you know - aside from the occasional story from great comics creators, the character is plain boring with a really dull supporting cast and a personality always at status quo. Like Miller once said: "Batman is not gay, but would have been a much healthier person if he was."

But why are we talking about Superman & Batman on Prince.org?

no but seriously, i'm a comic fan, just mainly Batman stuff but i am excited about the new Superman/Batman team up book coming out soon.

Is that a drawing by Mike Wieringo? I don't like his style - it's way too cartoonish for me. I like more realistic drawings - artists like Steve Epting, Lee Weeks and so. But Phil Jimenez, George Pérez, Jim Lee and all of those stylized guys are good too. And I like the sleek look in drawings by Alan Davis, Stuart Immonen and such. Unfortunately a lot of these guys are all at CrossGen these days. I'd prefer them doing Marvel books. I mostly read Marvel, see...
