I had an eye test today and I left with a pair of glasses, my first pair!

I need them for reading, watching telly, using this 'puter and looking a long way away.

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, I'm well chuffed! I like the face jewellery element of glasses. I've worn fake glasses in the past! I also like the fact that I feel like there's something to hide behind. I feel a bit protected! Of course, I'm glad I'll be able to see more clearly too.

On the other hand, I feel a bit sad that my vision isn't as good as it has been, that it's failed a bit and I'm a bit concerned that my eyes will get lazier and that I'll have to wear glasses all the time

I've been thinking that I may try to do some eye exercises in Yoga, as this is supposed to help with strengthening eyes I believe.

I've had shit eyes for over ten years now and can't see more than a foot in front of my face without my glasses. I have the strongest prescription out of any of my friends (once a friend of mine tried on my glasses and said "OHMYGOD I FEEL LIKE I'M ON MUSHROOMS!!")



But glasses are good. I'm sure they look just luff-lee on you, Therapy.

It really sucks to have glasses. I only use mine when I drive or sit at the back of a movie theatre, but they still really bug me. They´re uncomfortable and make me look like a total geek.

It still beats putting little jellylike patches directly on your eyes though. When someone puts in a contact it looks like they´re doing a freaky circus trick or something. I could never do that.

I can not see without my glasses or contacts what-so-ever...without my visual aids I have to squint to see my damn computer screen when I am sitting right infront of it. Both my eyes are -6.25. So to make a long story short be happy you have the eyes you have cause MINE SUCK

I think glasses look really good on a lot of people. I look better with mine.

If your are concerned about the aesthetic aspect of wearing glasses then considering buying some exspensive pair of designer glasses.

glasses can be very sexy...just make sure to get ones that are flattering to your face shape. i tend to go a little funkier with my style of glasses. i brought a friend with me when i got my latest pair...she looked at me like i was crazy when she first saw them but when i put them on she thought they were great!!!
