BLACK OUT!!!! Where were you? DETROIT was completely 'BLACK' from (8/14) 6pm until 3:30pm today (8/15)...
Anyone experienced this BlackOut of 2003? by the way I was suppose to celebrate my birthday with friends and family in town w/ a huge party...and all was cancelled thanx to this blackout, but its another day and I'm just happy to be back online at the Org! | |

Cleveland was out from roughly 4 p.m., Aug. 14, to 9 a.m., Aug. 15. I enjoyed it -- forced peace and quiet.
My ex-wife, my daughter and I all went to my mother's house to grill and hang out quietly. I then showed them all some summer constellations (which we typically can't see with all the local light pollution), we went to my place to chat under candlelight, and we crashed. BX, N.Y. The light was back right before it got dark around 8:45p.m on my very small side of town, while some people a couple of blocks up still had no power. At that point, I thought the whole city had light, until I heard it wasn't going to be that easy. Mostly everyone was outside, looking out their windows, and kids were playing in the park, while some were getting ready to get to their homes when the light came back on...
