Just curious--does the time you spend online (especially on the Org) affect your home life?

By this, I mean: do you neglect household chores or not get as much done at work? Does your wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend complain about how much time you spend on the computer? Are they asleep by the time you log off, thus you've spent time with the people online rather than the ones in your home? Do your kids wonder why you're online rather than playing/spending time with them?

Only wondering because my mom was talking to me today about this woman she knew of who became addicted to the Internet. She stopped going to work and neglected her kids to the point where she wasn't feeding or clothing them properly, and CPS had to come take them... (, NO, not me, I don't have any kids!)

This made me start wondering if anyone on the Org has lost friends or family or lovers because of the time they spend online, and if the fantasy land of the Internet is a similar escape as, say, drugs or alcohol. What do you think?

well...i definately think i spend too much time on here...but...my babies are well taken care of...i dont go out...i stay home with them, and so, if you ask them...they would rather have me here then someplace else.



its really just a place to go to have fun...and when they are busy doing their own thing...i think its fine to come here...

I definitely could be exercising or cleaning or trying to find a good-enough boyfriend, rather than spending time here. But since I really don't have internet access at work anymore, I am on here much less than I used to be a year ago...

I am single, rarely at home due to work and school ... and it is very quiet here. I seldom watch television, the radio stations talk too much... and the org is a occasional place visit. If I had the choice... I would far rather talk/correspond face-to-face with orgers/ all people, anyday.

Although... to be honest, with so much interaction at work, constant talking/interacting/communicating with patients, nurses, doctors (all hospital employees)... coming home to silence interrelated with a chosen avenue/degree of "mingling" is nice.

i paint my picture, i spend time with my girl
i might log in, if i want to waste a lil time cos

I am truely happy that someone here has finally asked this burning question, because friends, sence i found the org
nothing is the same anymore.
Just over a year ago i was a man with a happy family, the pillar of my community. PREACHED THE GOSPEL ON SUNDAYS.
And then i found the org. Yes friends i found the org and everything went to shit. I fell in love with the first hoochie to send me an orgnote. I quit my job so i could have more time to post. I started shootin crystal meth and crack, so i could stay up later.
My wife was understanding about it until the kids found me jackin off to a pic of prince's booty, then she took them and left. Sence i had no job she got the house and i, like many of the orgers here, had to move back into mommy's house
where i now reside in the basement. Me, a PC, and a blowup doll i call mani.
every now and then mom come down and hoses out the basement
she calim that sence i quit bathing it's hard for her to come down to do the laundry.
BUT I'M MUCH BETTER NOW!!!
I quit postin on the org so i could get my life back. There is just so much more to life that sittin in front of a screen accepting medical advice from all the people who love me. I'M BAAACK!!!
because i just want you all to know that i licked my org habit. I CAN CONTROL IT NOW... REALLY!!!
Fact of the matter is, the org hasn't affected my life one lil bit.
