I have a friend who used to work for a magazine, doing sales stuff. One of her tasks was to arrange prize donations for their competition and select the winners.

Well, I was lucky enough to win several best seats to the ballet and opera shows in London.

My freind? Fortunately, before moving off to greener pastures her last month coincided with a movie competition. Amazingly, she managed to win herself a DVD player!

Sshhh. Don't tell anyone!

I stole loads of stuff!

Well not really. I worked for a company which went under... or more correctly speaking, the parent company in the US shut the Irish branch down. In it's rush to withdraw from Europe, the company conveniently "forgot" to honour it's legal obligations with regard to redundancy settlements, the last bunch of paycheques, and also verbal obligations with regard to long-promised bonuses, holiday payments, overtime etc.

I was so pissed that they screwed me and my staff like that... And since I was the IT manager / development manager at this place, I was the guy expected to shut everything down on the last day, post all the computer gear back to the US, turn off the lights and lock the doors etc.
Needless to say, on that last day I took advantage of the opportunity to make sure that everyone who got screwed out of their job, their salaries, and their redundancy cheques at least got a free PC or two, and a free monitor or two, and office furniture etc.
I'm looking at one of their 19" Sony monitors right now, and sitting on one of their nice office chairs smile We cleaned the place out...

I can happily report that the US branch of the company back in Chicago went under the following year. Justice!

Teacher

I've worked in a riding club since I was 15, so I took home first aid kit stuff. Then I worked at schools, and will continue to do so... so yes nod Stationary, copying things I shouldn't and so on... in all fairness I do a lot of work at home as well though and print my stuff there as well, so I guess it evens out a bit. innocent
