Growing up and your regrets

What is one thing that since you are now grown up (or at least some of you) wished you could of changed. ?? Any regrets?? Things you could of done differently?

Just the old cliché that "you don´t regret things you´ve done, only things you haven´t done".

omg, the life I lived from 17-21 leaves not much to regret. I lived hard and lived fast and looking back it was insane but totally necessary.

At this point the only regret I have is the way I treated my 1st love during our break-up. Thankfully, all has been forgiven and we remain friends.

I wish I would have gone out for the cross country team in high school as I feel if I had started running 15 years ago by now I could be a GREAT runner (Perhaps the best).

I can't regret the things that have made me who I am today. Each was a lesson.

I wish I had kicked the asses of the kids who used to pick on me in middle school (especially since I know now that there IS NO "permanent record")

I wish I had stood up to my parents more.

I wish I had never asked out Stephanie Whitman in '95 (fucked me up for YEARS!)

I wish I could have been gentler to my last ex-girlfriend.

I REALLY wished my parents hadn't abused me! That REALLY woulda helped!!smile smile

I wish I still had Gretchen Wachter's phone number from 3rd grade (If you're reading this, Gretchie, Orgnote me!!)

Things that I regret and/or wished that I would have done differently:

1) I wish I would have stood up to those bullies in school who picked on me and whooped their asses, teach them a good lesson. I'm not a violent person by ANY means, but they picked on me so much and really hurt my feelings. Sad to say, I still have scars from their mean words today, which is why I'm so open-minded to people of all sexual orientation, races, religions and backgrounds. I could NEVER be intentionally mean as those kids were to me.

2) I wish I would have gone to college and gotten my degree while I was still living at home and could afford it. I realize that it's "never too late" to go back, and that there are loans/grants for college available, but with buying a condo and recently a new car, the money just is not there.

3) I wish my mother would have understood me better growing up. We get along better now, but growing up was difficult, because we never seemed to be on the same page.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

i agree with this whole "No regrets" thing to a point...but things that I would have done differently.

1) I would not have allowed others to dictate how I saw myself.

2) I would have fucked the quarterback my freshman year (he was good)

3) I would have stood up to all those who said that i was less than they were because i was a fag.

4) I would have taken time 2 enjoy being innocent. (Missed opportunities galore)

i had a pretty wild life from 14 to 21 and did a lot of things that some would regret. i loved it all! and what i didn't love, i learned from, so no regrets there either. maybe the only thing i regret is playing the saxophone only until age 13. i started at about 8 or 9 and played for 4 or 5 years but imagine how good i would be if i still played!
