To see how people think, ask this question. If you had a teenage son and a daughter, who would you be more pissed at for loosing their virginity or partying? Most people would naturally say their daughter, cuz we're naturally more protective of our women. The same reason it's more disturbing to find out our mothers had an affair over our fathers. It's also about not wanting our women to be dominated in any way. That also gets into people having problems with interratial couples, especially with the women. Many white men hate to see a black man with a white woman, and many black men hate to see a white man with a black woman. It's a natural instinct to protect our women from that "domination." Some people can handle it better than others, but it is an issue with a good amount of society. I'm not saying any of it is wrong or right, but it's just stuff that goes back to the times of early man.  so true...thats your answer DigiLisa   yeah, I thanked Evil 4 his reply... it's the truth  EWM made a very valid point. But we are not talking about animals, cavemen or troglodytes here. We are talking about human beings. Animals have to follow their instincts, in that case EWM is right. But what makes us different is that we have a human conciousness, a brain to think, a heart to feel and a mind which tells us what is right or wrong. Whenever I see a woman I wanna gang I can go and do what I feel like. But if I have a brain, and I am married, my brain (and my heart) will make me stop. EWMs theory is simply a lame excuse for all men to go fuck around "because its natural". Its NOT natural for humans. If it was, we wouldnt feel the pain and misery that comes along with it. | |

Okay, but what I wrote still makes sense. It's not like I'm just making stuff up. I think that what you wrote is taking what you like from human behavior--that which justifies how you specifically feel/believe--and attempting to make it a universal truth. There is plenty of other human behavior/scientific evidence that backs up the social influence of gender roles. In other words--if you and others haven't evolved in your thinking as far as human rights/equality, it's because you refuse to, not because it's genetically programmed otherwise. | |
