It's all about how mankind has developed. Generally, man is designed to fuck a lot and spread his seed, while women are designed to take care of the offspring and not fool around. That's just nature. Once society began to develop, moralities and social standards began to form around this behavior, and that's why it's acceptable for men to sleep around and not women. It makes a lot of women angry and start screaming about double-standards, but nature is nature.

To see how people think, ask this question. If you had a teenage son and a daughter, who would you be more pissed at for loosing their virginity or partying? Most people would naturally say their daughter, cuz we're naturally more protective of our women. The same reason it's more disturbing to find out our mothers had an affair over our fathers. It's also about not wanting our women to be dominated in any way.

That also gets into people having problems with interratial couples, especially with the women. Many white men hate to see a black man with a white woman, and many black men hate to see a white man with a black woman. It's a natural instinct to protect our women from that "domination." Some people can handle it better than others, but it is an issue with a good amount of society.

I'm not saying any of it is wrong or right, but it's just stuff that goes back to the times of early man.

Thanks Socrates for making these well adjusted points.. Now we can all rest in peace.. Halleluiah!

What y'all think women don't get urges?

What y'all think one man can satisfy all a woman needs?

Hell I often feel like some of you guys do, I want to try a lil bit and then make up mind which flavor I like the best...

However there's a price 2 pay in that, not only would I get labeled as a hoe from a man, but you know women would label me as a hoe as well...

Why does this double standard still exsist?

Because men have some selfrespect and don't want used goods. The question is why woman don't care that they're having sex with male 'hoes'.

Because it's still a male-dominated world. Most men still view women as lesser beings. When a woman is sexually-dominant and in full control of her sexuality, it puts her on an equal par with men. Why do you Madonna was SO controversial in the '80s? She basically was saying that it was OK for women to go out and fuck freely.

What y'all think women don't get urges?
Er...they do.

What y'all think one man can satisfy all a woman needs?
Women are complicated and wonderful creatures. I don't know if any us can satisfy a woman completely.

Hell I often feel like some of you guys do, I want to try a lil bit and then make up mind which flavor I like the best...
So sample all 31 Flavors, baby! Just use a jim-hat and be safe!!

However there's a price 2 pay in that, not only would I get labeled as a hoe from a man, but you know women would label me as a hoe as well...
Well, I would NEVER label you a hoe. The only true 'hoe' is the nymphomaniac. And despite what you may read in Maxim--true nymphos are VERY rare!!

Why does this double standard still exsist?

it was a joke, but if you wanna get technical... I'll say I will support my son either way it goes. If he wishes 2 remain a virgin then I would be supportive, if he lost his virginiy while he was still a teen ager, I wouldn't go off on him either, I would try 2 understand.

If I had children I would try to explain sex the best way I can 2 both of them, I would tell them that it's not something you should fool around with, and it should be with the person you most cared about.

I will let them decide 2 do what they want 2 do , cuz I think the problem with parents is, they can be 2 controling which makes kids want 2 rebell and things get out of hand.

If my daughter lost her virginity before my son, I would be a little disapointed, but I wouldn't look at her any different from my son and I would love them both the same.

Hopefully they both would make the right decisions and wait 4 a person who they truly really love, so niether will have any regrets.

Perhaps if people weren't so hung up on monogamy, this wouldn't be such a constant issue in our society, and we could all fuck around and enjoy it to the fullest. Men and women could be openly and equally slutty. Oh, what a beautiful world. biggrin

the end line is tacked on to make it more palatable.

"I'm not saying any of it is wrong or right"
meaning he is not going to take a stand on it.
"but it's just stuff that goes back to the times of early man."
and then he does, by stating that it is instinctual, and acceptable. it is the way it has always been, going back to the beginings of humanity, and questioning it is pointless.

it's a writers trick. just like saying "i don't hate Person X, but they are a complete fucker, and i would stab them if given the chance."

well, if that is acceptable to you, then so be it. but i believe that just because one has a desire to do whatever they damn well please (ie cheating on a partner) then they should be held accountable for their actions, and that blaming it on instinct is a weak argument, a cop out, and granting permission for men to do whatever they like with no reprecussions.

but that's just my belief as a feminist.
