Yeah, it's a beautiful song followed by an even more beautiful song (imo) The Song Of Solomon - I think that's my fave off of TRS. The song of Solomon The Song of Solomon The song of everyone Who walks the path Of the solitary heart The soul cries out Hear a woman singing Don't want your bullshit, yeah Just want your sexuality Don't want excuses, yeah Write me your poetry in motion Write it just for me, yeah And sing it with a kiss Mmm, just take any line "Comfort me with apples For I am sick of love His left hand is under my head And his right hand Doth embrace me" This is the Song of Solomon Here's a woman singing Don't want your bullshit, yeah Just want your sexuality Don't want your excuses, yeah Write me your poetry in motion Write it just for me, yeah And sign it with a kiss And I'll do it for you I'll be the Rose of Sharon for you I'll do it for you I'll be the Lily of the Valley for you I'll do it for you I'll be Isolde or Marion for you I'll do it for you Ooh I'll come in a hurricane for you I'll do it for you A wop bam boom Don't want your bullshit, yeah Just want your sexuality What is so absolutely amazing about her -- and I've been a fan of hers for 20 years (!) and it still amazes me -- is her ability to interpret events and others artistic works (some good examples are 'Coffee Homeground', 'Houdini' 'The Red Shoes' and this song...have you read 'The Song of Solomon'? She takes direct quotes from the sonnets and puts herself in the middle as if she's experiencing them herself...) She's just a little musical angel.

She's just a little musical angel. Yep! She's my number one. Always will be. I was only three when she released her first single (Wuthering Heights) and it just buried itself in my brain. It was one of those songs that you couldn't escape, whether you liked it or not. A few years later I heard it and went "Damn! I remember this song. I have to have this song!" I've been in love ever since. And I'm so looking forward to her new album, whether it's this year or next. We've waited 10 years already, I can wait a bit longer.

That's how I feel too...her music just is really timeless for me...it grows with me and my appreciation for it deepens as time goes on. I remember the first time I heard 'Hounds of Love' (I was 13) and it was the kind of thing that I just couldn't blink or breathe or do anything for fear of missing one moment. It blew me away.

I was so pleased for her when it finally gave her an audience in America. For a country that always seemed to embrace alternative music it always baffled me that they showed so little interest in her.
