Minneapolis Peeps?? My husband & I are looking to move to Minnesota in a bit.
Could you please tell me where the best areas around Minneapolis are to live especially if you have kids? Of course this is based on your opinions. I just need an idea of where to start looking. Thanks for the information. Love God, Love Life, Lovesexy...Peace & I Wish U Heaven...Lovesxy1958

Are you looking to live in MPLS proper or just in the metro area?
I can try and give some advice, but I've been living in MPLS proper for 10 years now and have no kids...so I'm not sure how helpful I'll be!

I don't want to live inside Minneapolis around the downtown area... Love God, Love Life, Lovesexy...Peace & I Wish U Heaven...Lovesxy1958

st. paul tho' st. paul's cheaper to live in, it sux ass over there. i ain't originally from mpls and haven't lived here in the twin cities for too long, but i'm bettin that somewhere in the suburbs or over in northeast mpls would be your best bet.

No way!!! The Grand Ave. area rocks my ass...after living on the MPLS side for 20+ years, it's refreshing to be somewhere with style. Uptown is totally played out...it's withered and old; St. Paul is ascending! "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

The Grand Ave./Macalester area is awesome...I know that most of St. Paul can be snore-inducing, but my current neighborhood rules...I promise! "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

don't forget about Minnetonka (it and Edina are in the top of the best school districts for MPLS) also if you are not opposed to St. Paul, Woodbury is in the top 5 (I think they still are anyway) best schools. They are the upper end suburbs, but worth it for the better environment and surroundings. Oh and Wayazta as well.
