OOH IT'S SO SOFT

Why is it that when you get your haircut at a salon it always ends up feeling soo soft? I just cut off two inches and now it feels as soft as a babies bootie, I mean what do they put in their little squirt bottle besides water? confuse

They use good hair products (shampoo, conditioner, a good quality brush) if you go someplace nice, and they also know how to dry your hair so that the shaft of the hair cuticle is smooth. nod

Glad you like your haircut, Pais! hug

But do they blow dry it at the salon?

All I usually do is cut the ends so there's no need to blow dry.

You keep saying "I"--do you cut your own hair, or did you go have it done? Is it one of those places where you can pick which services are done (to blowdry/style/etc) or not? If you walk out with it wet and they didn't blowdry it, then it's got to be the product or maybe you have really hard water at home. YOu should buy some of what they use on your hair, ask them next time! nod

No I dont cut my own hair I'm not that talented wink and yes it's the type of place where you can pick your own services but even if it wasn't I would tell them not to blow dry and yes the water at my house is really hard.

If you want to keep that softness try a deep conditioner. I use Aussie's three minute miracle. It works great. I have really fine hair and as much as I color it and style it. It helps to keep it soft and shinny and not all damaged looking.
