Initially the name was intended to suggest the superior ant, the queen if you like but the hyphen (predomin-ant) never appeared in my username. I suppose it was a pathetic pun anyway. However, since being here it has morphed somewhat to and the hyphen has shifted to pre-dominant (before dominance or a fledgling dominatrix as one orger has suggested). Not cool, but I'm a direct descendant of Giotto, Italian painter and arquitect credited with giving rise to the Renaissance movement. I am also an architect by profession as well as a painter in my leisure time, so I can say I have more or less followed in his footsteps.
Conversely, there's an equally famous European chocolate, also called "Giotto"
