ok i used to be a die-hard nightmare on elm st. fan and i was sooo upset when they decided to make an elm st. part 4 in 1988. THE SERIES SHOULD HAVE ENDED after part 3- DREAM WARRIORS...the 1994 "new Nightmare" by Wes Craven was ok but it blows my mind how stupid the series became--part 4 and 5 were good if they stood alone, but in comparison to 1 and 3 ("Nancy" rocked!!!) it sucked. I hope this is it...I really do. Robert Englund is almost 60! How many more times can he run around as Freddy Krueger?!!!


By the way, if you haven't seen Elm st. part 1, it's one of the best horror movies ever...it still scares me to this day.

I was a hard-core Elm Street fan since the first one, I'm talking about T-shirts, posters, masks, and my cousin even made me a real Freddy glove in his shop. So I'm definitely gonna see this one, even if it sucks.

I thought 1,2,and 3 were awesome, yes even part 2. I like 2 because Freddy was still a dark and a purely evil dude, not a wise guy jokester in the later sequels. He was in the dark a lot and he was tearing fuckers apart. Then from 4 and on, it just got corny. Robert Englund used his own voice instead of having it dropped to sound deeper and creepier like in the first 3, and the make-up was designed to "show his age." Freddy's a friggin ghost, why does he need to age? Then the jokes really ruined it all. What a shame.

But anyway, I don't really think either Freddy of Jason will actually win it all. I think they'll both get fucked up.

I don't know who will win. I love both of those maniacs!
Elm St. 1 and New Nightmare. Friday 1 thru 4. Those are the only ones i really like.

The cool thing is that they're working off of each other's fears. Jason is afraid of water and Freddy is afraid of fire, so there's a big issue with that in it.

Freddy Vs. Hellraiser would have actually been pretty interesting if they kept it dark and serious.
