Well one thing's for sure, he represented the dumbing down of America. He proved that the way to win a presidency is not by gaining the respect of the people, but by being a bum who's just as fucked up as the common man.

And Bush who had (and lied about) alcohol and cocaine problems, two underage alcoholics and a cracked out niece are a good representation of the best america has to offer?

So you enjoyed the largest tax increase in history under Bubba, which in turn was responsible for a shitty economy and job loss? Well hey, to each his own.

Higher taxes means employers can't afford to keep on as many workers, so they have to start the lay off's. This happens across the country and that's why you see people losing their jobs. When the boss has more money, we have more money. That's economics.

Dumbing down? Uh, I think you have your presidents turned around. Bill Clinton ranks as on of the most intelligent and well educated presidents we've ever had. The man has no modern equal in that office. Bush Jr, on the other hand, is a mental midget! He can barely speak. Whenever he opens his mouth, I brace myself for additional national embarrassment.

It's one thing to dislike Bill Clinton (some seem unable to help themselves), but even his most ardent political opponents will concede his intelligence and scholarship.

I think you misunderstood. I never said Clinton wasn't intelligent, in fact anyone who can slip out of scandals the way he did is actually very bright. I was referring to the dumbing down of the American population because they care more about celebrity status than strong leadership. Women voted for him because they found him handsome and men voted for him cuz he was like "one of the guys", a womanizer, pot smoker, and a sax player. And a lot of people will say that they voted for him because they could relate to him. Personally, I don't want to relate to the president and I don't want him to be a "cool dude." I want him to be a no-nonsense, take care of business, kick some fucking ass kind of leader. He can be the lamest guy in all of history for all I care. And I personally don't listen to Bush's speeches cuz he's not a good speaker. But I'd rather he just get teh job done than to woo me with his words. Less talk, more action. Clinton was very good at shmoozing everyone and making them feel all warm inside. Slick Willy indeed.

I see you don't grasp basic economics. I explained how the system works, but if you can't accept it, then oh well. Besides, what you desire is a socialist system, not a capitalist one. Canada and Europe have all that you need. Happy hunting.
