My little sister, Emily, came on Saturday to spend the week with me (my parents and older sister went to Oregon on vacation and she didn't want to join them).

She left a few hours ago and I'm so lonely! We spent every moment together and I adored it. She is my absolute best friend. Everywhere we go people ask us if we are twins, and this week was no exception. I've missed hanging out with her ever since I left for college and it's going to be a nightmare when I leave for London. We're thinking of living together when I come back, as we'll both be attending the same university.

Oh, see, here I go to read this thread thinking it's a continuation of the "Only a black woman..." thread... and it's about your literal sister

'Cuz actually I'm going through more of a "lack of beautiful black women (besides my wife of course) around me" syndrome, living in Spain. When I went back to Detroit I remembered all the reasons I left, but also saw a lot of beautiful people that I miss seeing around. There's definitely some different (not better or worse, but definitely less diverse) flava here in Barcelona.

Awww...I understand, Nattie...I have four sisters and if I don't see them I have sister withdrawl too...one of my sisters moved to Florida and was here for a month visiting...she just left last week and I already miss her.

I was running all around that night, taking photos and such - and I think I was glowing cause my baby sister had just graduated from high school and it was all very emotional.
