The photo is in Singapore. I'm an Aussie but have lived here for three years. Just got myself a digital camera a month ago and can't stop using it!

type "www.sitelocationofpicgoeshere.com/yadayada"
before it then put "img" in [] brackets and after it "/img" in [] brackets.

if you reply to my posting of the pic, you should be able to see how i typed it.

Yep, thanks! I'm going to try and improve it. I took a ton of shots but didn't realise that the light on the building towards the left changed from green (as in this pic) to blue, yellow and purple, the others of which didn't reflect off the water. Next time I'll try all the pics when the building is shining in green.
Also, it needs more water in the foreground. And it's hard to take a long exposure because the trucks going along the bridge I was on kept on shaking the bridge!

Hey, now I can see it all of a sudden! Very nice!

It´s damn hard to take good pictures when it´s as dark as it is there. And I´m amazed it can turn out this good with the trucks shaking the ground. Did you let the camera rest on the railing of the bridge or something? At least that would be better than if it was hand-held.

Thanks for all your praises smile

To answer some questions. I took the shot with a tripod. I can't remember the exposure or aperture as I tried out several different settings. Probably around 2 or 3 seconds on F4. The camera is a Canon A70. Fantastic piece of equipment at a great price.

Big Sur is on the coast of central California. I'm going back there this September. It's beautiful there. We went on a camping trip 2 years ago and were there for 3 days and took 11 rolls of film! I luuuv taking pictures. smile

Very nice picture sabaisabai. It's amazing how well it turned out being that it was at night. Is your camera an expensive one? Does your camera have special settings for pictures taken when there's not a lot of light?

Oh, ok. Do you always carry a tripod when you go home from work? wink It gets you the best results of course, but I never seem to have one with me when I stumble across beautiful night scenery and later I forget to go back. I sure wish there were pocket sized tripods...

Ta. The camera is a Canon A70. Not very expensive, about 300 US. It has full manual control, including aperture and shutter speed for night shooting.

Not always smile. My tripod is pretty light and fits easily in my bag. I didn't quite stumble upon that view though, it was a couple of kilometres from work. I do sometimes take a different part of that bridge when I make the walk home.
I've seen pocket-sized and very light tripods, which would have worked well with this shot using the bridge railing.
