PDA Public Displays of Affection? What do you all think of them? When you are out with your girlfriend(s) or boyfriend(s) what do you prefer? Is this you?
Or is this closer? # [This message was edited Tue Jul 22 15:27:18 PDT 2003 by TwIsTeDmInD] Sign 78 that you're obsessed with Prince: You buy a John Prine album- just out of curiosity.

I have absolutely no qualms with showing signs of affection 2 a loved 1. Ive always held ex-gf's hands in public and had the odd snog now and again, if not more. So what, if Ur happy and in love why hide it? And who am I 2 sneer at people when they're enjoying each others company?

Oh the 515 is quite nice Natsume... if you get the Bluetooth card for it (it's only about 50 pounds) you'll be able to use it with a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone when you are in Europe... i.e. convenient wireless surfing, emailing etc.

And getting back to the topic on hand - I like to touch and be touched, so I have no problem with PDAs for the most part. But it gets uncomfortable when clothes start coming off etc - for see and for others to see on you.

If Ur thinking of buying a mobile phone in England, Ur best buying a contract 1 rather than a top up. Theyre cheaper in the long run. I should know, my top up 1 swallows money!

Top up? What is that? My current cell phone is getting cut off on August 27th. I'll be without a cell phone entirely until I get to London. As sad as it may seem, I'm going to miss it!! I mean, like, where is the sun?

If I were you, try to get a montly contract phone - the pay-as-you-go types are a rip-off, and if you go with Vodafone or O2 in the UK it should be easy to get international roaming enabled quickly so you can still use your mobile as you hop around Europe. There are some really nice Bluetooth-enabled handsets around right now. The Sony Ericsson T610 or T68 are both really nice phones, and quite small and slim. The Siemens S55 is very good also. The Nokia 3650 is great and has a camera and video capture etc - but it's a bit heavy. I've used Bluetooth on the Palm with the Siemens, Nokia, and Sony Ericsson handsets mentioned and it works a treat Unfortunately though you might have to go for a "pre-paid" phone account because you don't have a permanent address in the UK, you don't have a credit rating here etc. And going pre-paid really limits the options what handset you can go for...

I can't believe that shite exists! Pre-paid mobile phones? You can find them all over the world, very common. It suits kids, and people who are unable to get a monthly contract handset. I've got a pre-paid mobile that I use when I am in Japan, it's very handy. The thing with the monthly contract handset is - the contract usually lasts 12 months, and they are usually handled by direct debit payments. You see the handsets are heavily subsidised by the networks. You generally need to pass a credit-check etc to get set up for a 12 month contract... which is why people travelling such as yourself have trouble getting good handsets and good tarriffs - you might end up with a shitty Nokia 3410 or something on a pre-paid deal. Not very good, but good enough for making a few phone calls and that's what it's all about Most kids go for pre-paid too... with their pocket money etc. Sorry we've totally jocked this thread Apologies.
