I'm a former nerd. I was even nominated as class nerd in high school. I went from a predominately white school from k-8 to an almost all black high school. My silly ass was walking aroung with Duran Duran buttons on me from head to toe and a Duran Duran headband that I make from cutting up a sheet and taping cut out pictures on it. The kids were looking at me like

I was such a geek in elementary and high school. Bookworm, stayed in the house in the summer, all that. I was just thinking yesterday about how much of a geek I am now. Ya still gotta worry about us quiet ones.

Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser. It's about how the fast food industry has not only changed what the we eat but also how businesses are run in many other industries. I found it to be an incredibly interesting book and recommend it to most anybody who is interested in how these businesses work and how they became the way that they are.
