I've gotta say, I am crazy for all three of Tarantino's movies, Pulp Fiction is one of my all time favorite movies ever made, but I think this new one looks really stupid. It's in two parts cuz the folks releasing it wanted it edited down and Quentin didn't want the movie touched. I can't fucking wait for it!But why the hell has it got 2 b in two parts

I'm a big Tarantino fan myself but the only thing remotely good about that trailer is the music. Anyway, there's been a great official Japanese site of this movie up for a few months now, something like www.killbill.jp , don't quite remember.
Apart from the lousy trailer, there's more bad news. The movie is waaay over budget, waaay over Time (it should have debuted at Cannes), and, going by the script waaay over the top. Now that last problem may b a good thing considering it's a Tarantino movie. But i still wonder if anybody besides regular movie-go-ers will b interested in this re-hash of old B-kungfu-movies. And now i hear the studio bosses want to cut this 2.5h movie in two parts? Guess they want to squeeze it, but i'm not sure it will help the movie. Of course with a 250 page script and so many filming hours + different stories there should b more than enough material to fill two movies. But since they won't do any additional filming, i still wonder how they will pull this one of, splitting up a movie that was filmed with the intention to b one piece (unlike the Matrix or LOTR sequels). Seems like it's worth checking out. I love movies that are slightly odd  In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |
