Strange dudes with roses... The most bizarre thing happened yesterday when I was over at my mom's house...
We were eating dinner and the doorbell rang and someone was knocking the door knocker...I went to the door (expecting JWs or Mormons) and I saw a rather old, worn looking biker dude type (probably in his 50s, but looking older than his age) with long silver and red hair and a beard walking toward a mini van in the neighbor's driveway...I opened the door and saw one long stemmed red rose in the mailbox...no note...nothing... I still don't know what the deal is with this! Any theories?

oh, wait. i just thought of something. maybe it's not actually a rose at all. maybe it's an alien transmitter. do you have a lead-lined box you could put it in to be safe?

If a stranger gives you roses, accept them graciously and then ask him just who the hell he is!

That's the thing...he didn't wait long enough for me to find out! Ran away like a frightened rabbit did he? I would have chased him down the street

You know, I've witnessed Biker groups doing a lot of nice things for people during the years that I've been a social worker. Seriously, they have got some of the biggest hearts out there. I first encountered it when I worked at a Domestic Violence shelter, and a group of them brought over a bunch of nice donations for the women and kids. Then at a Race for the Cure benefit, they weren't running or walking, but a group lined themselves up along the race and were cheering everybody on.
I wonder if they were just doing something nice in the neighborhood? Sounds weird, but I swear--they're capable of it!
