and I've seen the pics you posted your not ugly! Your pretty!   Feelin' ya on the journey. . .old behaviors are really hard to change. Somebody told me once that I ought to treat myself with the same compassion that I treat other important people in my life, and that idea stuck. But I do forget on occasion. And I respectfully disagree on the ugly issue, but appreciate the compliment nonetheless.  I'm with Sweeny on this...you're a cutie

There are some extremely superficial people in the world who are constantly evaluating and judging people based upon their looks. Even on a Prince forum, we see thread after thread asking us to judge who has the best ass, boobs, body, who's the prettiest, etc. We give opinions on the sexiness (or lack of) based upon things like body hair, rather than intrinsic values. This judgment based upon exteriors surrounds us constantly in life. Talent and personality don't play into it a whole lot, really, as far as success and attention. Studies have shown that the more attractive you are, the more successful you tend to be in business and finding an attractive, successful mate--those same studies show that others tend to perceive you as a better person, even, the more physically attractive you are. The standards some people hold make it difficult for even "normal" people to feel okay about themselves.
We can pretend that looks don't matter--and they shouldn't--but they do. We all make judgments and have opinions on looks. I find Heavenly's question pertinent, because maybe it makes us examine our own insecurities as well as how we view others. I know that I'm not the sexiest guy around but I also know that I'm not butt ugly. I wouldn't have girls find me attractive it that were the case. You just have to forget about your little "flaws" and move along with life. Where do people get there ideas on "ugly" hollywood?
