Gary Payton and Karl Malone are signing on the 16th! What I'm talkin bout!

As a Bucks fan I can tell you that Payton is not the player he once was. He wanted to resign with the Bucks and we said no as we realized that he can't defend any more and he never has been able to shoot. He can still drive the lane like a mother but that's about it. I guess age has caught up with him.

He had this reputation as this great defensive player but after he came to the Bucks they gave up more points a game with Payton often being abused. Look at what Kidd did to him in the play-offs.

BTW I think the Lakers are going to have some problems as they have 4 guys who want to score and there is only one ball. Typically these "All Star" teams in the NBA have failed.

The Lakers days are over man! Accept it.

U guys playing down the Lakers need to recognize this: The Lakers are begging for a third man to get them 20 every other night and a PF to give them 15 and 10 a night.

And those All-Star teams that failed had no Phil.

Think about it: Fox and D-Fish coming off the bench, with Madsen, Medvedenko, Pargo and Kareem Rush coming behind them?

Heck, if they had either Malone or Payton last year it would have been a 4-peat.

I think they are going to be all right.

I'm happy about this news. The Lakers are gonna kick some ass next year. That all star dealio theory is just a myth!!!

Gary Payton, playing on one of the most explosive teams in the 90's, lost numerous times in the first round, including the first time ever a 1 seed lost to an 8 seed.

Karl Malone, with the ball and a chance to send his team to a 7th game of the finals, had the ball stolen from him! which led to MJ's game winner.

neither are championship players, they are chokers. combined, they account for half of MJ's rings.

moreso, if Horry, and Fox and Fisher aren't good enough to lead their teams to championships, why do they have 11 more combined rings than Payton and Malone combined?
