Does anybody remember the blood and gore of Carmageddon? I found an old CD of it recently and thought I'd give it a spin...it did NOT want to run on Windows XP, so I had to dig into Google to find out how to hack it. Google seems to have the answer to every question...do we take that for granted now?
Anyways...the game is fuckin' great. You get to run over innocent bystanders as they run screaming away from your car, and if you're really skillful you can clip them and knock off one of their limbs, blood squirting everywhere...what's really funny is when you find some cows and run them over too! Great stuff! 
Unfortunately, the game was simply too controversial and the most recent version has you running over "zombies," as if that would yield the same level of satisfaction...  Fear is the mind-killer. | |
