It nearly happened once when I got involved with another orger that I was going to meet up with. His psycho girlfried (or so he says; yeah, I bet it was really him...) jacked his account and started posting under the guise of him when we were chatting in the chatroom, calling me obscene things and was behaving like there were 2 of this particular orger, as, you see, apparently, him and his girlfriend were logged in as the same orger, and then it looked like he was insane and slagging himself and me off. I just was embarrassed.
Oh, and I won't mention names, though I don't know why I shouldn't. This person really kicked the boot into me on the thread I created after seeing Prince for the first time. He's lucky I didn't air his dirty laundry for all to see. | |

my personality here is not made-up either. it is the environment that is. as much as you may care for certain individuals here, and as much as you may personally be affected by things that people say or do, this is NOT reality. if you invest yourself deeply into the things that are going on here, you've done little more than turn your life into some sort of fantasy role-playing game. there are, obviously, aspects that are real, but so many more that are artificial, including the environment and many of the personalities. i'm as much myself here as i am anywhere, at any time in my life. nor do i hide behind an identity. i'm one of the few people here who actually uses his/her own name, consistently, for nearly 7 years now, since this site was born, in its original form. People accuse me of things and lie about me all of the time (i.e., I'm SteadyMobbin, I vote their threads down, I've used other accounts for the sole purpose of hurting people, etc. ). I'm just about immune to it now, which is both good and bad, I suppose.  There are about 3 people on this site (plus 2 who are no longer posting) who actually have a true idea of who I am, and that's all I care about.
I like the online community, it has its points, but my work, my friends and family keep me sane and grounded. As it should be. | |
