A thread dedicated 2 the 70's (Super Groovy)

Since I love the 70's show is starting next week on VH1, I thought it would be cool 2 start a thread dedicated strictly 2 the 70's.

What are you're most found memories from this groovy decade?
Was it the clothes, the music or the slang words

Unfortunately I wasn’t born around this time
So I didn’t have the opportunity 2 experience some of things many of u had

But I can could imagine how I would b while living in the 70’s
If u don’t mind I would like 2 show u a few things I probably would have in my vault
If I lived in the 70’s

A SPUNKY LIL FUNKY KID LIVIN’ IN HER OWN WORLD …….

Here goes...
Favorite Television show:

THE BRADY BUNCH

I always wondered what it was like 2 live in this house ...

FAVORITE CARTOON

I always did like the soundtrack 2 this show and I always wonder what was the relationship between this cartoon and those who smoked weed neutral

Favorite Music Group:

Favorite Movie :

Favorite Album:

Favorite Style:

And u would probably find me at ….

Hey how y’all like my 8 track playa, it’s groovy huh ? …..

I remember small stuff like you could get a pack of Now and Laters, a little Hugs juice, a big pickle, or some Lik-A-Stix for like 25 or 50 cents each. My favorite cartoons back then were the Jackson 5, the Banana Splits, Speed Buggy, Johnny Quest, and Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch. I don't think anyone remembers most of them though aside from Johnny Quest.
I just remember it as being a real fun time. I didn't really listen to music back then. I think the only albums I had were a Star Wars album and the Silver Connection (Fly Robin Fly).

Some memories...

***I remember 8-track tapes, but I thought they were really odd. While listening to it,sometimes the music would stop in the middle of a song for a minute or so,then come back on.

***Does anyone else miss 45 singles? I used to take my allowance and buy several at the same time. The first 45 I ever bought was "Shadow Dancing" by Andy Gibb in 1978.Back then,45 singles weren't that much more than a dollar. And most albums could be bought for only $5.99.

***Everyone remembers the "Brady Bunch",but do you guys remember the cartoon version? On this show, the Brady kids all lived in a treehouse (!!) but their parents and Alice were nowhere to be found. At the end of every episode, they would sing a song such as "Ain't It Crazy?","We Can Make The World A Whole Lot Brighter" and "Time To Change".

***I remember in 1979,we were having some kind of gasoline shortage. So,you were only able to buy gas on certain days.

***Does anyone remember velvet posters? I had one in 1978,and it featured a purple light that was somehow attached to the top of it.
