I think the Matrix and the sequel are one of the best blockbusters to date. Matrix Reloaded could be second best, because it does amaze or sidetracks one with the special effects, as much as it entertains, but the story line is still the most intriguing that leaves the special effects a very minor part of the film. Yes, it borrows from other movies, the bible, and other things, but how it manages to raise so many questions, while many remain unanswered, in the story line and for real, with all of its contradictions is what gives it its realistic edge, because life is like that anyway, which is why I love this movie. But overrated—No, although they try to feed the crowds with all the 'eye candy', but many things mainstream, or commercial are overrated, but this film deserves the attention it gets. But could be I’m just one of those people caught in the Matrix, and I got no complaints…I can’t wait for the REVOLUTIONS!!!

The first one was great, the second one is really overated. I hear a lot of ppl say that. The special effects are great and it all look good but its 2 much. Maybe its me, but it all looks slow. This is just an good Sci fi action movie. The first one was more then that. The word matrix got a new meaning.The matrix was a fake world.
Reloaded is just another movie, good entertainment but u dont talk about it anymore the next day.

I don't think it's overrated, because I don't think it's rated very high. Maybe over-hyped.

One thing I don't think can be overrated is its technological movie wizardry. Like every good thing, it has unfortunately been adopted by the lazy, and is no longer special, but one can't deny how astounding the production was of the original Matrix way back in '99.

People can say what they want about the story, but not the effects, I guess that's all I'm saying.

i havent seen any of these movies and everyone thinks im crazy...but i just am not into those kinna movies

Neither am I! I don't like Star Wars or Star Trek, and haven't even seen Lord of the Rings because I'm not into sci-fi. People used to tell me about the Matrix, and I was like yeah, yeah, I'm going to watch it again, but when I went and saw Matrix Reloaded, it made me go back and watch Matrix again, and again, and that's how I got into it, and really, it changed my mind about sci-fi, or at least this movie...you should probably check it if you haven't.

2nd is baaad

I talked about them both 4 weeks. I think its a great concept that is well executed. So far so pleased.

Matrix is a work of art. In everyway. In years 2 come, they will still talk about it.

Im terribly sorry but I havent seen either of these films; so I couldnt possibly comment. Although Id very much like 2 though.

Common, the plot takes ages to develop into sumthing resemblin a story and there was lots of things that could have been left out, like Keanu Reeves.

Too bad the Oracle died in RL (remember RL?) cuz she was an awsome actress...

the only matrix i've seen is when the first one came out. they shoulda stopped after that. i'm sure that prince and any other matrix geex coulda lived without the sequels.
