Childhood Memories....

I was out shopping a few days ago and i walked past a store that had a package of children's underpants with the days of the week on them.. I stood there and for a second I had such nastolgia for being a child.. I remmber i owned them with the different color days of the week on them...I loved them.. It made me think back when I thought that was the greatest thing in the world that i could pick out my OWN underpants when i was little...

Also i saw they still had the Bakers over for kids.. You know the one that cooks cake under a light-bulb nuts
Who would ever think of doing that??? BUT I had the holly hobby bakers oven and loved every second of it.. I was allowed to cook cake ALL BY MYSELF ...

So this brought me to start a topic.. Anyone seen anything or think of things that brings them back to when they were a kid??? Share.. I wanna know!

REDFEATHERS

I loved my Tom and Jerry knickers as a child.

I can remember having some hideously funky floral ones back in the 70's too, barf although they were very fashionable back then big grin but I loved them cos they looked similar to my mums touched and I felt really grown up in them. The ticket inside read: Age 3-5 but I am sure I wore them till I was about 8 or 9! lol

I used 2 have a Spiderman dressing up outfit. I always used 2 wear it. It had a balaclava 4 a mask, 2 holes 4 the eyes and a big hole 4 Ur mouth. I used 2 take myself 2 seriously when I wore it and demanded I was called 'Spiderman'.

My brother boutght a computed game recently. It was a Sonic game. When I was 10 I was hooked to the original Sonic game. Anyway he put the game on (It was on a disc for a brand new console so I figured it was going to be all fancy 3D shit) and to my amazement and sheer delight it was exactle the same as the game I played as a kid. The disc was full of old Sonic games, I stayed up playing them for a couple of nights, I havn't lost my touch either wink.

I saw a ghostbusters proton pack in a second hand shop a while back. I got the trap for my 6th Birthday but was never able to get the pack. there was a temptation to buy it, but what the hell would I be able 2 do with it!

REDFEATHERS

When I was 4 and in Kingergarten, I noticed my teacher had very shiny nails. I loved and admired them, so I licked my nails to make them shiny too. I can remember getting frustrated in class when mine kept drying off and my teachers were still shiny all day even though I never saw her lick her nails...I just kept licking them and spying on my teacher to see how often she licked her nails to keep them so lovely and shiny sad

Silly me, years later I found out that there was such a thing called Clear Nail Varnish... err

It was kinda cute though.. wink
