My Parrot Is Clinically Obese just got back from the vet with the blood results...told me he needs to cut back on the sun flower seeds, needs to walk more and eat more fruit. he's the fattest parrot the vet has ever seen. anyone else have a bird???

don't have a parrot of my own, but i do petsit for several, and i've found that the ones with a varied diet and lots of freedom to exercise are the healthiest ones (not plucking feathers, friendly, healthy weight, etc.) kinda the same thing as with people, i guess... | |

don't have a parrot of my own, but i do petsit for several, and i've found that the ones with a varied diet and lots of freedom to exercise are the healthiest ones (not plucking feathers, friendly, healthy weight, etc.) kinda the same thing as with people, i guess... he doesnt have a feather plucking problem, he is free to roam the house although he likes to be pearched on top of his cage and he is very talkative. i leave a plate of veggies/fruit on his cage every morning and he just seems to chop it up but not eat it, kinda like the rest of the furniture | |

When I went abroad, I let this friend of mine look after Fluffy, my hamster. Well Mary was a tight bitch and a real straight laced girl. She thought Fluffy was too chubby, so put her on a diet without my knowing!!! 
She gave Fluffy one nut a day, bloody hell,  I gave Fluffy anything she asked me for...and let me tell you, Fluffy was so destraught staying at Marys house, she was so pleased to see me when I returned...  | |

My partner's sister was "babysitting" our LILY. That *&%**, &^*^((<, %**&^(<,  girl got on the phone and LILY flew out the window and into the park.
I've hated that girl since that day with all my being.     
We got LILY when she was about a month old. She was more like a puppy than a bird actually. Get your bird on a good diet. You know they live a long time. | |
