Who's really in the control of the relationship?

From my point of view, I know men r supposed 2 wear the pants in the relationship, but y'all know what the real deal is here lol Just like in the game of chest the Queen basically take control of the whole game board... ahem, pay attention 2 the words "game" and "control".

o

The one truly in control is the one with the most emotional "hold" or "effect" upon the other...however, that "hold" can be a temporary thing and a person can lose that hold. In that case, the person with the most money is then in control!

Really? I'M in control, BUT...
I find that the key to a tranquil relationship is
to let her THINK she's in control. nod

A relationship where the woman REALLY is in control...
sorry ladies...boxed...is in trouble, IMHO.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Um. . .why would you want to control your relationships?

I control myself. My husband controls himself. The relationship doesn't need to be controlled.

Am I stupid or something?

Chess is a good analogy. Sure the Queen has the most moves, the most control. The funny thing is even if the King loses the Queen, the game still goes on without her. He's still got others to play with. Lose the King and it's game over for everybody. You can't even PLAY the game without your King.

I tend to agree with Tackam... Where did this word control come from, in regards to realtionships?

Only weakminded people (women as well as men) feel the need to be controlling in a relationship. If you are secure within yourself, there's really no need is there?

Once I decided that I did not need to control the marriage/relationship I became a much happier person.

I found that when I thought I was in control my hubby was unhappy because he just did stuff to shut me up or keep me "happy". Now he does stuff for his happiness too and finds that he loves me even more because I let him be him and not who I thought I wnated him to be.

took me a long time and a lot of therapy to learn that.

good observation...i too had the same control issues you did.

it led to alot of bheart

sooner or later you get tired of controlling or the person gets tired of being controlled.

it gets boring fast.
