For both waiters and pizza delivery drivers, generally 20% plus whatever is necessary to round up to the next dollar. In any event, no less than $2.
There was a time in my life when I delivered pizzas, and I found that the best tippers were usually either college students or folks in middle-class neighborhoods. People in the upper-middle-class and expensive neighborhoods usually tipped below average to average at best. They most likely don't know what it's like to have to live off of what a server makes. | |

I tend to tip 20%, or 10% if they piss me off. And it takes a lot to piss me off.
My attitude is: If I can't afford to tip, then I can afford to cook for myself. | |
