The lightest day of the year where I am...

Tonight the sun sets at 10.05pm and rises again at 3.35am. It never really gets dark.

In 6 months, the sun will set at approx. 3.30pm and not rise again until approx. 8.30am. Then it's dark for almost 18 hours.

One would think that God in all his wisdom could've evened it out a bit, no?

confuse hmm

Really? I am in Holland, south of you, and the sun is supposed to set around 10:04 tomorrow night.

I was on the phone last night with my mother and looked out the window and it was a pink sunset still going down. It was 11:00 p.m.!

I think tomorrow is the longest day for the US...right? God I feel retarded! But in any case it sets around 8:30 pm and rises again about 5:30am.

I wish they would stop with the daylight savings time and all that, I think it's a waste.

Dunno, all I know is that today is the last day that there's true midnight sun above that certain latitude nod

It is, but it's also weird to me (I am from the U.S.). I eat dinner really late and go to bed at two a.m. because it feels weird to go to sleep right after it has just turned full dark.

I'm in the US and I find it weird as it is. The days are longer and it makes me tired. I would like to experience the Midnight Sun just once, as well as a full day of darkness.

Summer solstice and winter solstice are the days, first day of Summer/Cancer and Winter/Capricorn.

I was born on the first day of Autumn/Libra, when the days are equal. Same thing happens in Spring: Vernal Equinox, first day of Spring/Aries.

There is this awesome movie called Lovers of the Arctic Circle, where long lost lovers try to find each other on the day of the Midnight Sun. So Romantic.

Always showing off...
I´ve tried the Swedish national anthem but I run out of air after two or three notes. You must be like a balloon.
