Can anyone suggest a good programme for designing DVD covers , preferably freeware. I have started to transfer all my video rarities to DVD but I would prefer to have my own covers to go with them. I have tried the freeware on download.com but this isn't very good as you cannot resize images or add text. I would be grateful for any help on this subject.

Why not use a praphic design program?
All those CD booklets and such suck big time.
The ones that do work (if there are any) will have many limits, and will cost you.

I design booklets on Photoshop and it's fantastic.
There are many graphic design programs that cost close to nothing, and sometimes nothing.

Hey, you can basically use Word to design your covers.
