Devote-A-Thread: Chocolate bars Favorite chocolate bar and why.
Mine is Mr. Goodbar cuz when it melts a bit it tastes sooo good. Plus it has nuts but not huge chunks like those almond bars. U can break ur tooth on one of those things! Give it up for Mr. Goodbar.

If you wanna talk European chocolate, I think Cote D'vors (sp?) takes the cake.

When I first went to the US I was pretty surprised that you almost didn´t have any "regular" chocolate bars. Here in Europe almost every country has its own "national chocolate bar" that is just pure chocolate without "extras". In Sweden we have Marabou, in Norway it´s Freja, in the UK it´s Cadbury´s, in Germany it´s Milka etc, etc. No nuts or fudge or raisins or any other crap. Just plain chocolate (we have the other stuff as well of course, but that´s a whole other category). In the US all I could find in that department was a pretty sad looking Nestle bar.
Somehow I get the impression that you Americans aren´t as much into candy as we are? You seem to prefer chips, popcorn, cookies and that kind of stuff? Have you had similar thoughts when you´ve been to Europe? Are we as candy crazy as we feel?

Huh? We got Cadbury's in America. It's good. As far as non-bar-shaped chocolate goes, my all-time fave candy is in fact the Cadbury egg (not the caramel, but the one with white stuff in it and orange in the very middle.) Mmmm...

I like chocolate with gooey stuff in the middle like caremel etc. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.
