sorry 2 hear about your situation my aint so good either. anyway, if you do not owe The Crown any money then you could get away with changing your name (first and last). If however you creditors know your national insurance number then it will be much harder to avoid them. As for bankruptcy, thats a last option...if you do go down that route then sell your house/car assuming u have a house and car...you could sell them to a family member for market value and then put in your bankruptcy petition. once you become a discharged bankrupt you could buy your house back if any lender decides to give u a mortgage (IT WILL NOT BE EASY). hope that helps send me an org note if u need more advice....i wont charge £160 an hour like your lawyer will [This message was edited Mon Jun 16 3:16:36 PDT 2003 by Ardeo]

If you declare bankrucy - fine. If you still live at home with your parents - not, they will be affected and get bad credit, from living under the same roof.

Is bankruptcy an option??? PS, my credit rating has been fucked up for a while. I did that a few years ago, I rang up close to 7 grand in credit card debt. My dad made a deal with me, he took a loan out in his name to pay off all my cards, and I just give him the one monthly payment. I've been doing it for about 4 years now and I'm almost done. It's probabbly unlikely you will be able to get the loan yourself, but if you have someone close to you who will help, and you're responsible enough to follow through, that will save you the scorn of declaring bankruptcy.
