irresistibleb1tch said: why do we feel entitled to punish our dogs severely for our own inability to provide them with an appropriate environment? inflicting pain and suffering is ALWAYS wrong, no matter how "insignificant" we feel the object of the violence is.
how warped is it that, in our daily lives, we accept the suffering of other beings as part of our convenience. we don't care where our meat, dairy, eggs, clothing and shoes come from. we don't give a fuck how many animals had to suffer for us to have YET ANOTHER kind of shampoo. we couldn't care less how many immigrant workers get injured and killed working in our slaughter houses. just as long as our lives are nice and comfortable, and we can consume ourselves into oblivion. one day, we'll pay for our indifference. in the meantime, let's just beat the living hell out of our wives, kids and pets... who cares! Irresistableb1tch, are you alright over there? Seems like something in this thread touched a nerve in you, judging from your post. I certainly don't beat or mistreat people, animals or whatever, I probably am the most non-confrontational person you'd ever meet. I posted that comment about kicking the dog's teeth in out of anger and because I needed to vent, as I stated above. I don't believe in making animals suffer either, and am against laboratories testing products on animals. That should be against the law, and I hope one day it is. It seems silly to make the poor animals suffer all so the scientists or whoever can find out if products are safe for us to use. I don't relish in immigrant workers getting injured on the job either, and never have. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

There are anti-barking collars that u fill with lemon juice (or in some cases water is enough), and when the dog barks it sprays a small dose of the liquid into the dog's face - completely harmless but not very nice for the dog. I never knew a dog it didn't work on.
Easy and no electrical currents involved, even though I know that most people "train" their dogs to obediance with electrical collars in the US Stupid cruel motherfuckers. Jen Teacher! How are ya? Doing excellent dear, hope to see u in the chat soon Nan

Why don't you call the police because of a noise disturbance?
I've done it before on noisy neighbors. Works like a charm! I mean, like, where is the sun?

LOL -- naw, it's all good, i was just venting, too. i didn't mean you personally, it's a general frustration i have about how we view our place in relationship to other living beings. you're cool in my book, i always love your posts!
